Three unconnected thoughts about the Democratic National Convention.

I was generally pretty happy with what I saw of the Democratic National Convention this year, but I don't feel like writing an indepth analysis nobody will read. So, three quick observations:

First thought: President Clinton had a good speech, President Carter had a good speech, Barrack Obama gave a great speech. I swear, even the straight boys in the audience were swooning a little.

Second Thought: Apparently, all politicians need theme songs if they're going to speak at a convention. If I ever become a politician, my song is going to be "Another Saturday Night". All together now: Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody / I've got some money cause I just got paid / How I wish I had someone to talk to / I'm in an awful way -- Yeah, that's my life in a nutshell.

Third Thought: Of all the networks covering the convention, C-SPAN was the best at finding cute girls in the audience cutaway shots. If I ever end up at a political convention, I'm following the C-SPAN camera crew around the place.
